What We Are

Federated movement with practical infrastructure

Feralism is a philosophical and political movement recognizing the determined trajectory from fire domestication to collapse, and articulating what comes next.

We operate as a federated structure. Each country has (or will have) a committee with operational autonomy. The international committee (based in Geneva, Switzerland) maintains philosophical coherence and facilitates coordination between countries.

We build practical infrastructure—tools, communities, economic alternatives, and knowledge systems—to support those undergoing the inevitable transformation.

How federation works:

Country committees operate autonomously—managing their own resources, finances, and organizational structures. The only requirement: adherence to core Feralist principles.

Philosophical changes require collective deliberation. Representatives from all country committees gather to debate and decide together. No single committee can unilaterally alter core principles.

Committees that deviate from established Feralist philosophy may be excluded from the movement to maintain coherence.

Governance Model

How committees operate

  • Consensus-Based Decision Making

Committee decisions made through collective deliberation seeking agreement, not majority rule. Operational decisions made quickly; philosophical or structural changes require thorough deliberation.

  • Invitation-Based Membership

Committee membership requires: alignment with Feralist philosophy, demonstrated commitment to the project, willingness to volunteer time for governance work, and invitation by existing committee members. Committees are governance bodies focused on coordination and philosophical coherence.

  • Community Input Mechanisms

Movement members provide input through: open forums for feedback and discussion, surveys on major decisions affecting community experience, direct communication channels with committee members, and regular community consultations. Committees consider community perspectives when making decisions about infrastructure, resources, and direction—particularly on matters that directly affect members' experience.

  • Full Transparency

All decisions, budgets, and operations documented and accessible to members. We trust you with full information because we're asking you to trust us. Transparency is the only defense against the pattern we're trying to exit.

  • Working Circles

Flexible circles organized by function: philosophy, technology, community, education, operations. Structure evolves with needs. No permanent hierarchical positions—coordination happens through consensus and practical necessity.

Economic Model

How we're funded and where money goes

  • Community Membership

Members get access to community infrastructure: Feral Application messaging platform, Academy courses (launching), Encyclopedia (in development), local tribal networks, and priority access to new features. Sustainable funding from those who can afford it supports the movement's growth.

  • Member Contributions & Compensation

Members can contribute to the movement and earn income through multiple channels: affiliate program (50% commission on referrals), content creation (articles, videos, courses), technical contributions (development, infrastructure), and paid operational missions. You don't need committee membership to be compensated for operational work.

  • Marketplace (5% Commission)

We facilitate sales of goods and services aligned with Feralist principles—food, tools, land access, and other necessities outside industrial supply chains. We take 5% commission on sales. Note: Anyone can become a marketplace provider, membership is not required.

  • Fund Allocation

Revenue supports: acquiring land for communities, funding research and publishing, organizing events and gatherings, compensating operational contributors, general operations, and building transitional infrastructure.

  • Future: Business Incubator

We're developing support systems for feral-aligned businesses—creating an ecosystem of economic alternatives outside industrial supply chains. Support will include funding, mentorship, and network access.

Why we're transparent about money: Every movement that hides its economics eventually becomes corrupted by them. We show you exactly how this works because transparency is non-negotiable.

Current Working Circles

Functional organization within committees

Committees operate through functional circles with overlapping membership. People contribute where their skills and interests align:

  • Philosophy Circle

Develops and refines the conceptual framework. Writes manifestos, essays, and core texts. Engages with critiques and evolves the analysis.

  • Technology Circle

Builds and maintains the platform, tools, and digital infrastructure. Manages the website, community server, and technical systems.

  • Community Circle

Facilitates regional coordination, organizes gatherings, supports land acquisition, and helps build physical communities.

  • Education Circle

Creates Academy courses, skill documentation, and educational resources. Makes knowledge accessible and actionable.

  • Operations Circle

Handles day-to-day logistics, finances, legal requirements, and coordination between circles.

Becoming a Committee Member

The path to governance participation

Committee membership is earned through sustained, exceptional contribution to the movement. Requirements:

  • Deep alignment with Feralist philosophy
  • Sustained, high-quality contribution to the project
  • Specific skills needed for coordination or philosophical work
  • Willingness to commit significant voluntary time to governance
  • Recognition and invitation by existing committee members

Coordinating a federated movement across countries requires focused groups with specialized roles and deep philosophical alignment. Most members contribute through community participation, skill-building, and local organizing—all essential to the movement's success.

Interested in deeper involvement? Participate actively, contribute meaningfully, demonstrate commitment over time. Exceptional contributions are recognized, and invitations are extended based on the movement's needs and your demonstrated alignment.
